Hi people.
I am currently working on a web application that will power a PC BSD packages repository and will be a general BSD (especcialy PC BSD) news source. Now people I need your help. I am looking for following people who are willing to work on this:
1)Main news editor
2)2 news authors
3)Translators (system will be in several languages - currently it exists in two languages: Croatian and English)
4)Packagers - a lot of them
5)Testers - people who will test packages
If I come up with anyone else we need, I will post it here :p
Best regards,
Mario

The more links the better, incase someone goes offline - perhaps the PBI repository people could work out a directory sync so they all mirror everything?

not really doing alot in PC-BSD community atm, as i cant get it too sucessfully install on my Athlon64. so another repository would be great.

i did start work on PRS (PBI Repository System) in Kommander i got to the point where i could could connect to the server, but it was buggy.

do you mean something like YUM in fedora where you can search a central repository like synaptic??

THAT would be awesome!! so i dont need to search the web. rather i just look it up in the repository and download from there :D

please make this possible!! this is a killer PLUS to pbi!!

THX!!!

It would be could if we could get a Xandros Networks type front end to download various .PBIs form various websites. So if anyone has a source then it can be easily entered into the frontend by clicking a button on the website which holds the .PBIs. Eventually we could integrate the front end into the Kamel Project.

It was supposed to be something like download.com or softpedia.com for PC BSD. But, as I dont really have any serious projects on my backs (just some little ones), I guess I could start doing a real repository.
It's not really a problem to make, but comm'on people join and work on some projects. I cannot do all by myself ;-)

And what I meant was using a cron job on rsync or fetch so that the PBI repositories would keep themselves up to date with a master repository - if thats what they wanted to do.
