1) A native amd64 pcbsd version.
2) A port of pcbsd (es. system/pcbsd) to "change" a freebsd vanilla in a pcbsd.

Actually I'm using a vanilla amd64 freebsd system, but my dream is to use a native pcbsd system on my turion64 laptop.

The problem is that some drivers is not ready yet for 64bit FreeBSD so we have to wait when this would be solved and incorporated some features that is needed for NVidia drivers to run properly.

About system/pcbsd port: This would be awesome. Then we can make "nightly builds" and test em more frequently than before- quality would be much better.

That's something I'm waiting for, but not one big port. I'd like to see the pbi framework made separate, I have no need for any of the configuration gui's but would like to be able to make and use pbi's on freebsd. I also think this would help encourage the freebsd community to get involved making pbi's.

I agree with you.
I've also some difficulties to access to the cvs repository, it's possible to put the source tarball in a download area?

I've oft comptemplated installing PBI onto one PCBSD box and sending the /Programs/$1 directory over to a FreeBSD box, using shellscript changes to "take care" of buisness of installing it, but it wouldn't update the databases that way.

I've even thought about comparing every ounce of the PCBSD and FBSD installs and coping over the "PC" stuff to the "Free" partition just for an expirement.
