View Full Version : no graphic enviroment after install

Ok after installing pc-bsd twice,I rebooted,but I have no graphical destop or nothing.I can login using my username but no graphics at all.
What to do now? Do I need to erase again and start over?
I am the same guy who was using Mandrakelinux 10. and was wanting to try pc-bsd.

What graphics card you have?

Did you try startx at the command prompt?

Check your X configuration file for video card. Try setting it to vesa if it isn't and reboot. I had a problem like this before and it helped. (The problem actually turned out to be monitor related)
