I've got a stable PCBSD. I'm going to use Norton's Ghost to do a sector copy to another hard drive (I'm thinking it should work but not sure), 160 GB.

Anyway, I need to make this new hard drive a multi-boot. I want a couple of other PCBSD installs for experimentation and I need some kind of Linux so I can do some developing with tools that will run reliably on it.

I've never done this before and am sure that I'll have to restart several times but as long as I can clone what I have currently to the new hard drive I don't mind.

I have a bootable partition magic, a bootable parted, gag and grub.

I need to know the sequence on how to do this and any 'gotchas' I may run into. The FAQ deal mainly with systems already installed other than PCBSD.

Thanks for any help.

Well, I did a very similar thing with my PC-BSD installation.
I used ghostpe.exe [which is the Norton Ghost DOS main-executable file] and then I created image of my PC-BSD partition.
The problem is that you can`t restore such image onto another drive.
It can be done ONLY on the drive you choosed to be backed up.
But you can use SAVEPART, a small DOS program that will help you out of it. Also you can use NetBSD based disk and partition cloning livecd, but I can`t remember the name. I`ll wirte it later.
