memory and cpu performance meter while installing

I'd like to see how my computers behave when installer is working.

1. memory consumation
2. how busy processor is right now
3. maybe free space on hard drive
4. how long installation would take
5. even draw plot about cpu, memory, space.
6. open up browser and read some introduction about current operating system.

time is money, you know...

All good points antik but for mom and pop users, #6 would be the most important. Maybe even a desktop icon.
