Helo,

I installed firefox, thunderbird and openoffice from the download area (PBI), but when I started firefox it shows bad fonts :( The next time I start firefox the fonts are better, but they are not really clear as in windows. Konquerrer and the other build applications have much better fonts I can live with very well. But openoffice, firefox are not good as you know from windows.

Where can I get help (link, HOWTO, etc...) so that I can adjust fonts in PCBSD so that they look and feel good like the other applications build in the standard installation process?

Greetings from Germany

Hello Oliver, please feel free to test my new OpenOffice.org 2.0.3 (http://www.pbidir.com/forum/showthread.php?p=402) PBI. For the fonts in OpenOffice.org, please have a look at this tutorial: How do I enhance fonts in OpenOffice.org (http://faqs.pcbsd.org/index.php?sid=88401&lang=en&action=artikel&cat=2&id=288&artlang=en).

As far as Firefox is concerned, to date I haven't been able to find out why fonts are blurred. You can have Firefox to use the system fonts though following this tutorial: How do I change the default font of Gtk applications? (http://faqs.pcbsd.org/index.php?sid=88401&lang=en&action=artikel&cat=9&id=281&artlang=en). Also, if you want you can adapt Firefox to your KDE environment better, with this tutorial: How do I integrate more Firefox into my KDE environment? (http://faqs.pcbsd.org/index.php?sid=88401&lang=en&action=artikel&cat=13&id=282&artlang=en). Viel Glück!
