I just wanted to send a quick message saying how much I like the changes to PC-BSD from version 7 to 7.5. It really seems to be coming together very nicely! The changes to the install, and to the desktop were very nice. This may sound odd to some folks...and I'm not trying to start anything here...but I find PC-BSD to be much easier to install, and more intuitive to use than all the Linux distros I've tried. I'm not a Linux hater...far from it....but after all the talk about how scary/difficult BSD is, the first time I tried PC-BSD (7), I was floored! It was extremely easy to install, and very easy to use.
Keep up the good work...I look forward to a long and fun relationship with PC-BSD. :D
p.s. I am a BeOS lover...and this is the only other OS that gives me a similar feeling to when I first started with BeOS!
Kudos Kris!

This distro of bsd looks best.
But where are the cdrecord, ... and other programs needed for burning cds?

good potential, really is. as soon as about 2 dozen new crucial features are integrated and hundreds of bug fixes made (i am not saying that pc-bsd is unstable, its just that i assume there are still quite a few bugs to fix) pc-bsd can be great. by far one of the easiest installs i had to do be it windows, linux or bsd, but not the easiest to configure.....yet (stupid printer/scanner and digital camera)

Wow! I'm left behind, I'm still using 0.7.5! I need to upgrade, I didn't expect Kris to launch new version that fast, really!
Kudos Kris!

I agree with you Riplee.
I am also a big Be OS fan myself. I am looking forward to the Haiku OS. Haiku OS is OpenBeOS for the uninitiated.
