First thing, Opera 9 pre2 creates new catalog at /home dir - its called /home/charles (probably the guy who made this package). But this is just the begining - as non-root user Opera 9pre2 (from this package) doesnt give the permission to write its config files - it 'forgots' typed site adresses and forgots any configuration changes that I set. It only works well when I launch it as a root. Awful omission for a 'user friendly' package system.
Now Im using Opera 8.50 - this package is fine.

When did you download this PBI? This problem was fixed a week ago...

Not 100% related, but the first beta of Opera 9 is out now.

Yes, as the current builds are already quite stable, I didn't mind creating a new PBI for the beta. Dunno whatcha think....
Anyway, the 9.0 release will have a PBI, trust me ;)

Well what ever happened that fixed the current PBI I'm glad it works, I think I might make it my standard browser on PC-BSD since it has the support for tabbed browsing in bookmarks that the WinXP 8.50 lacks and fire fox offers.
TerryP A.K.A. [SAS]_Trp_Spidey01 has gone to the opera!

Yes, and MS fonts are very nice in Opera 9 :)
