View Full Version : PS/2 optical mouse (Samsung) problem
Hi!
I've got a problem with a Samsung optical, ps/2 mouse and as I've seen on Hungarian PC-BSD forums some other guys had the same problem.
Problem:
Samsung optical ps/2 mouse not working properly. It behaves as if you move it on improper surface, the pointer moves, but it jumps back, here and there.
If there is some kind of workaround please let me know! PC-BSD is a very nice OS!

If you find a solution, don't forget to write an entry in the Knowledge Database (http://www.pcbsd.org/faqs/)

This is not a solution for his problem, it's walking around the problem to avoid it :)
But I agree that Kensington is excellent (and pricy). I only use Kensington trackballs :)

Please do not shift the topic to flame!
I know Kingston RAM modules, Chieftec PSU... but it is not the solution! It is a bugreport forum!
I wrote his problem to help the development of PC-BSD!!! For money I can buy Windows, that support almost all hardware...But I do not want that! Why? Because I believe in opensource, and in Linux and BSD....

I had the same problem with windows 2k with my panasonic toughbook. Solution is to disable scroll/middle button.

The mans got a point.
I don't think any one was really trying to, just being playful:)
BTW: Nice mouse!
Hope antik's solution works, and that PC-BSD never finds more incommon with Win2K...
