Hi guys, I did a very silly thing and manually rebooted my machine after installing Patch 3. The system said that it needed to reboot and I said ok, and then it appeared to be doing nothing, so I manually told the system to reboot using the 'start' --> 'logout' menu option. I guess the system was still moving files / configuring though cause now it gets to the point where it's trying to start KDE (after the flower screen appears) and it can't find certain files and the system wont start.

Is there a way I can reinstall the patch 3 pbi from the command line (I am able to login as root and install ports etc using the underlying freebsd command line) and recover the machine? Any ideas?

try:

# ./xxx.pbi -text

didn't try it, i'm not on pcbsd now... won't hurt though.
