Hi everybody,

i really need some help.

I am complete new to FreeBSD or any other Unix based OS. I recently decided to give the latest PCBSD version a try and was surprised how easy it is. I have a Nexoc S602 notebook and everything worked fine right from the beginning.

Since now! I installed the update no. 1 1.orc2 and now i can't use my notebook anymore. I can see the yellow PCBSD picture that tells me "starting the system" and nothing happens. There ist even no sign that my notebook does anything!
I don't know if it is useful but at least I can boot to WinXP Professional

Is there a possibility to undo the update or repair the system?

1- Have you allowed the update to complete to the end or interrupted it somewhere as it usually takes some time to complete?

2- How long you allowed the "start up" screen and are there indications of activity during that such as blinking HD indicator? It might take some time loading new settings on reboot after applying update

3- If there is no activity for quite some time, you might try Ctrl+C to kill the job and see the output
