Sorry, am sure these will be answered in a faq somewhere, just couldn't find it.

I'd like to try pcbsd on my laptop - I have a spare partition but don't want to wipe the existing OSs (mandrake linux + win2k).

I currently have grub setup as boot mgr, will pcbsd play nicely and/or install its own boot loader? (in which case, will I still have access to my linux + win boot options?)

Finally, will pcbsd be able to read/write my existing linux /home partion? (Currently reiser, could change to ext3 if reqd).

Thx,
Scott.

http://www.pcbsd.org/faqs/index.php?act ... artlang=en (http://www.pcbsd.org/faqs/index.php?action=artikel&cat=1&id=10&artlang=en)

That should cover the grub issue.

Reiserfs support is expected to be included in FreeBSD-6.0 but isn't at present. Ext2/3 support is, though you'll have to load the module I think. (I think it may be read only, however.)

For a bit more info on that see my page
