Some features found in other OSes that should make PCBSD better:

Synaptic like GUI Ports manager - PCLinuxOS
System Configuration - PCLinuxOS
Service Management System - Solaris 10 or launchd - MacOSX

Some General improvements:

Screen Setup and Config
Wireless support for Centrino platforms - if there is one - how do I get it to
work?
supermount or autofs - mentioned elsewhere
Simplified File hiearchy - mentioned elsewhere - work? being done

Then Does FreeBSD support Centrino?

System Config - DesktopBSD in comb with PCLinuxOS - Just like their format
Service Management System - make sure services are behaving properly - see Solaris 10 - brings up non dependent services in parallel - allows for graceful degradation etc

I couldn't find any mention of Centrino in their list but you're welcome to look.

http://www.freebsd.org/releases/6.0R/hardware-i386.html

This is for FreeBSD 6 which is what the latest PC-BSD release is based on.

Centrino is just a bunch of staff glued together for marketing.

Intel Pentium M processor + Intel Wifi + Intel whatever chipset.
