Blender 2.63 was released yesterday. With the new b-mesh n-gon's modeling system and the GPU renderer Cycles. It's amazing, check it out. FreeBSD versions available as usual. http://www.blender.org/download/get-blender/

It just takes dedication. Check out http://cgcookie.com/blender/ for some video tutorials.

Yep, I was just watching some of Blender's tutorials. They are very interesting. If I had even a little artistic talent it would make it a bit easier for me though. :D

You can always ask me for Blender specific help. I'll be the resident Blender guru.

Not certain but I think there is a bit of a backlog for requests. The great people here are working on getting the 9.1 release ready for all of us and I'm certain that is taking up a lot of their time and effort. I figure that once they have 9.1 for us and the EasyPBI is working well, even non-PCBSD literate people like me will be able to make a port. :D That should hopefully free up these awesome peoples' time so that maybe they can go on a vacation or do something different and fun. :)
