I support this request!!! As xfce is a supported Desktop environment in PC-BSD, and there is not out of the box file search tool coming with xfce, catfish would be great!

I tried to install it by myself, but had some problems with the whole process... See http://forums.pcbsd.org/showthread.php?t=18990 for details!

I find catfish to be a very usefully tool for PC-BCD and also Synapse as well.
