I seem to remember that evolution needs a separate package for spamassassin or bogofilter but I don't see an option in the AppCafe for this add on. Is that available somewhere or do I need to install it from ports?

Huh, I still don't see what I have to install to get spam filtering working. Is it so easy that I'm just missing it?

We may need to include spamassassin in the meta-pkg in the future. Does
just installing the spamassassin port make the plugin available, or is
there some other thing we need to grab? BTW, we include evolution in the
meta-pkgs, under Gnome -> Gnome-Net, does removing the PBI and
installing that meta-pkg fix it?
(You can do this under Control Panel -> System Manager -> System Packages)

Ugh ... first thing I did this morning was remove the Evolution I installed from the AppCafe. I suspect that didn't do anything nasty due to PBI goodness.
So, I am now running evolution from the Gnome meta-package instead of the PBI from the AppCafe. Good to get that straight.
It *looks* like we need mail/p5-Mail-SpamAssassin and all its dependencies to get spam filtering working with evolution. Someone should recreate a vanilla install and verify if this is enough as I've installed quite a few ports in this journey.

I've added that port to the PBI and the meta-pkg, we'll get that tested
once we get a build to ensure it works :)
