Would provide an easy way for users to install Samba so they can use KDE's or GNOME's Windows sharing services. The Guide could then be updated to point users to the PBI.

Looks like net/samba4-devel is the most recent version in ports.

I just created a module for this port. I did note that this port version is still in the alpha stage of development, but hopefully it will work immediately or in the near future.

A PBI for Samba4-devel has just been released. Please note that you will need to create a configuration file to complete the server setup.
