pc-bsd version 8.1, which came with gnome 2.30 if I remember correctly.
I could use the pcSoftwareManager just fine then.

Since then I used it to update to 2.32 when it became available via pc-bsd packages. And now the software manager doesn't work anymore. When I run the command from the desktop icon in a terminal I get the following output:

~> kdesu pcSoftwareManager
/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: /Programs/Gnome/lib/liblzma.so.5: version XZ_5.0 required by /usr/local/kde4/lib/libkdecore.so.7 not defined

I have the exact same problem. Is there a guid howto fix?

Edit. I that the error message likely are from kdesu, cos the same message comin if you only try to run kdesu.

If you run "kdesu pcSoftwareManager" does it start then?

BTW, this will be fixed in 9 :)

Isn't that the only way to be able to see the error-message? No it's not work from Gnome.
