I just read this the other day. "VISTA" (as in MS's future OS) actually stands for;
Virus Infection, Spyware,Trojans & Adware :lol:

Microsoft is supposedly taking a different appraoch the coding Vista by structuring it in a way that features can be added and removed whenever they need to, but most signs point to it being the usual Windows trash.

How about:
Voiding Inclusions Supposed To Achieve - based on the amount of features they threw out in an attempt to get it released in our lifetimes.

By July 2004 Longhorn was so butchered and poorly coded that they had to restart the project back from XP's code base, otherwise, the product would probably be available right now.

I read an article that said Vista would ship with either an anti-virus or an anti-spyware. I think it's an anti-spyware.

Whats rather silly is that Vista will be coming is 4 main catagories (like server, enterprise, home, pro), and will have 4 in each.
I saw the story posted on digg.com. There was going to be a "Basic Vista", then the top home version will be called "Ultimate Vista".
