I have a digital camera that has a fat16 memory card and i connected it to the computer using the camera USB cable, but it is not recognize, i use the cable to transfer my pictures in a ubuntu installation on the same computer and it worked, so my question is: the fat16 still compatible with PC-BSD or I have to install some driver?
about the NTFS, i have a NTFS partition on my hard-drive that i can no longer access, but the first time i ran the installation i could access it, then I open that partition with my ubuntu installation and since then it no longer open on PC-BSD, it think it may be related to the rights of the partition that may have been changed when i opened this partition on ubuntu.
by the way my PC-BSD is a new installation.

The fat filesystem is covered under msdosfs type so you can always manual mount. As for not being able to access the NTFS partition, this may have to do with partition lock due to improper mounting. You can try clearing it with the remove_hiberfile flag.
