xmms pbi is not intalling. does not even get to the point where it ask for root password. Anyone have a solotion?
This seems to be some weird problem that people are having...
For some people it doesnt work and for some (including me) it works.
Maybe this is a bug in PCBSD or something?

We have been discussing this same problem in the [PBI Bug ?] [0.82] XMMS (http://www.pcbsd.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1659) thread. I don't think we have reached a conclusion as to why this is happening.
I was wondering if someone for whom the installation was successful could check the MD5 sum of the working XMMS .pbi file and post it. The one I have (that doesn't work) is:
MD5 (XMMS1.2.10-PV1.1.pbi) = 3a0b3d08a46b13df73495664c103b64b

I also tried to install XMMS, but nothing happens :?

Ok, looks to me like an issue with the PBI itself rather than the system or PBI Installer. I've mailed the maintainer with a view of getting to the bottom of it and I'll let you guys know
The same thing happens for me with Skype... it just refuses to install.
Has anyone else had this issue?
I never installed xmms... Beep player is working fine :)

I have XMMS installed successfuly just a few minutes ago.
Here is my MD5 (XMMS1.2.10-PV1.1.pbi) = af68c000fe1b352ba7adb38b619f4f53
XMMS starts normaly - but i got a question - is it a bug or a feature that xmms pbi goes without mpg123 or any other engine to play music? As i remember the XMMS cant play music as a standalone tool... So maybe it'll be better to include the "low-level" sound files playing engine to the pbi of xmms to play music out from box?
regards, Gorthaur.
P.S. I can run XMMS but I cant add music files to the playlist - they arent appear.

I'm having the exact same problem as the post above...XMMS installs fine, but you can't add any music files to it.
