Which Cards generally run better in PCBSD from a configuration and hardware acceleration point of view. ATI cards or Nvidia ones. And which one do you use?

Nvidia by far. Their drivers seem to be far more compatible and stable than any ati I've tried.

Also has anyone tried Via's Chrome graphics on BSD?

Apparently nobody uses Via for a reason. From what I've been able to pick up their open source drivers suck balls.
