View Full Version : Should be an option to make bootable PC-BSD partition
This is not a bug, but i think it should be an option in the installer to make bootable the partition were PC-BSD is installed.
I´ve wasted a lot of time trying to find out how to boot PC-BSD in a standalone PC until I noticed the problem: the partition was not bootable!   :x
I fixed that using knoppix and fdisk, but I think it will be very valuable if the installer can do it and not have to use other systems/apps. 8)

fire up fdisk from install menu> partition the drive> set bootable flag pressing S key > then write your config with pressing W. Now you can proceed your installation.

I didn´t know that  i´ll remember in next installations. Though, i´m still think it´s worth the graphical installer offer this option, in order to help the newbies (like me  ).
Thanks!
