Hi everyone , I'm needing help to install my video card . I've installed "PC-BSD 8.0 RC 64bit" but stuck with using res of 640x480 and driving me nuts !
I have an ATI 5770 needing drivers , I've looked and read in the forums with nothing sure on how to do this . I've tried all the driver's on the start page using the wizard but none worked . While searching i found this (http://www.freshports.org/x11-drivers/xf86-video-ati). Is this what i'm suppose to use ? If not which one ,and how do i properly install it ?
Where is the repo's list with all available packages , is the driver located in one of them somewhere ?

Somewhere before when i tried the Beta , i read a list of available packages and it was large ,and I think somewhere else like 20,000 available .It had all the App's that i needed for my Desktop . I waited till now , for the RC ,to try again and ask my questions .
I hope my system will allow me to run PC-BSD with 3D . I like what i have so far , just need to get over these hurdles .

PLEASE help , and THANKS.....Northernfrog

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for but the FreeBSD Handbook covers installing ports and packages:

http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/books/handbook/ports.html

Hope this is of interest.
