Hello, im sorry if my post isn t so explicit but y dont know how to express the problem. Before i read all other post of this topic but i dont have answer for my problem so thanks for yours answers
Well i ve install pc-bsd fibonacci in my second machine:
AMD 1600+, 512 mb, board pc-chip with video integrated pro savabe 3, and my monitor lg studioworgs 520si.
The installation was perfect, but after reboot it begins with the wizard configuration screen (sorry i dont remember the name) it looks perfect, all OK, but when i chosee my desired configuration it goes all black, nothing, and i need to reboot manually, i try other resolutions, drivers, nothing works always and y have a black screen, like it was off.

The strange thing is that: when it boot the wizard look perfect, all the resolution, colors, is ok, but when i click apply it goes black.

In this PC i ve had a OpenSuse 10.2 working.

Another question how i begin in console mode, thanks?

Thanks a lot for your help. sorry for my English, Greetings from Argentina

hi Monchix,

we can meet on spanish forums, don't you want to mess up with gallegos or what?

but seriously: you can look for which driver is Linux using as a tip to get the correct driver and resolution wanted. Give more details about the graphic card. Ssay which resolution supports your monitor. And BTW: have you tried to login with twm? sometimes problems are from KDE part (kwin, compiz mostly) and you can launch a xterm from twm in order to get some info.

you can apply the latest updates to fibonacci first of all ...

Hope it helps, y nos vemos en el foro espaņol ...si quieres, claro :-)
