On my FreeBSD box I upgraded to Xorg 7.4 and the latest nVidia video drivers (180.12 i think). Since then I haven't been able to get Xorg to run with the new nvidia drivers. I have to run it with vesa instead. Anyone else having this problem?
After a bit of research I've found that it's a compatibility problem between the new version of xorg and the nvidia drivers. Not sure where else to go from here.
I installed PC-BSD 7.1.x on another system to see if maybe the PCBSD team had a fix ;) but no. When I try to select nvidia from the display settings after boot my screen goes wack then I have to reboot and select vesa.
Anyone discover a fix yet?
thanks,
kuan
