View Full Version : PCBSD7.1 on NEC Versa L2100

I've installed PCBSD7.1 on my laptop NEC VersaL2100 and everything work fine.Network, video card, sound working properly.but when i shutdown my laptop, it can't shutting down completely.The screen blank and the led indicator still on and i have to push the power button to shutdown completely.
any ideas ? what's wrong with that?

Shitting down seems to be a problem area with V7/KDE4 series OS. If you read through the forum here you will find numerous posts about it. My desktop system will sometimes shut down and other times I get a black screen with a cursor. Normally all I need to do is CTRL - ALT- Backspace and it will og me out. From there I cna select shutdown and it seems to work. So far I have found neither rhyme nor reason to the problem :-)
