Bug in nvidia 96.xx driver?

Hi guys. I've got an nvidia Geforce 3 Ti200 graphics card and tried to run the legacy-driver 96.xx. But the problem isthe screen hangs up, when pcbsd tries to set the xorg up for it. The screen just turn black and i have to reboot. Every other driver i tried (sure, i know there not working for my card) are sucessfully set up and reboot the system. So atm i'm running the 71.xx driver but this is not the correct one. So is this a bug?
