Hey all, sorry i've been so absent this last week, been working hard :)
Anyway, here's what I have just about ready:
PCBSD 0.8.2 - Changelog
9-23-05 (Kris Moore)
--------------------------
* Fixed the mountroot issues after installation.
* Fixed problems with PBI's not installing when a whitespace is in the path.
* Updated the scripts used for online update manager.
* Added SMP support to kernel.
Its a smaller update, but should help a ton of people who experienced the mountroot issues after a installation. Also existing users of 0.8.1, do not fear! Your system will be updated to 0.8.2 the next time you run an online update check.
In other news:
I'm in the middle of setting up a CVS server for PC-BSD source. You can view the early uploads at http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/pcbsd/
Hopefully this will let other developers contribute to PC-BSD in the future :)

This is very good news!
I was going to post today mentioning some features that would help PC-BSD Development and one of them was the cvs our svn server! Glad to see this is already being done!
Other issues i belive we must consider working out are the lack of a bug tracking system, several mailing lists and links to a PC-BSD Wiki.
We also need to start a PC-BSD Manual and "Getting strated" help file to appear on the user's Desktop after installation.
Also, i think We need someone to coordinate the translation and documentation.

Awesome 8)
I think a Wiki is not ideal, as there are spammers out there that have been targetting Wikis recently :?
I think Kris'ISP probably has "Mailman", an application in Python that is used to create and manage mailing lists, such as FreeBSD's mailing list
To enhance the development of PC-BSD, I think we can learn a lot on Gentoo's web site, I think these guys work very nicely :)
May I suggest to you to setup a subversion (http://subversion.tigris.org/) server instead of cvs. I think that subversion is a better revision control system.

I take it we can't use the online update to get this?

PC-BSD had a incompatibilty problem intel 865d motherboard too. Has that been resolved, I tried PC-BSD 0.75, PC-BSd 0.78, PC-BSD 0.80 & PC-BSD 0.8.1 but all gave me problems after the install. All I got was text scrolling some message about the BTX Boot Loader.

Wiki's are very easy to wind back if there has been vandalism, I use several each day for my work, they all use MediaWiki. Have a look at the English Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/ over 740,000 articles posted so far meaning the concept works, their only restriction is they don't allow posts from anonymous users. You can turn on email validation too.
Hi!
I would like to know how to update an off-line pcbsd computer.
Thanks.
