First of all I am glad to be running a BSD on my machine again. I used to run plain FreeBSD for a few years, but this time decided not to bother with installing the desktop / browser / office suite myself. PCBSD is great.

I am having a few issues nevertheless.

1) ATI Radeon video chip. I was suspecting I would have troubles with this one and my fears materialized. The machine locks up if I try to shut it down or go to one of the virtual terminals (Ctrl + Alt + FX). I am therefore forced to use the vesa driver which doesn't allow me to run in native resolution (1280 x 800).

2) In 7-beta my Atheros based wireless card wasn't being detected, luckily for me it changed in the release. I was able to configure the card and connect to the internet. I noticed though, that out of three browsers I have installed, only Firefox is working at a normal speed. Opera and Konqueror take very long time to resolve ip addresses and load pages. I don't understand why it is, because the download speed is the same as with Windows.

3) I haven't checked if ACPI works yet. I might do that later.

Thanks again for a great piece of software.
